Novak Djokovic will return to the Indian Wells Masters after a long absence, and fans are eager to watch him play in the championship once again. Not only tennis fans but many stars and famous artists are excited to watch Djokovic throw down on the court, yet again. In an exclusive with EssentiallySports, Stefan Kendal Gordy, aka Redfoo, talked about the players he was excited to see in the tournament.

The LMFAO rapper, singer, songwriter, and dancer is a tennis fan who has dated Victoria Azarenka, a two-time Australian Open champion. As the Sunshine Doubles rolled around, he was not one to miss the event.

Speaking to EssentiallySports at the Desert Smash, Redfoo named the players he looked forward to seeing in the championship. From the live event we covered in La Quinta, he stated, “I’m looking forward to seeing you know, Novak, the demon, J.J. Wolf, Tomo, Jordan Thompson, just everybody, you know. Just like, Sabalenka. On the women’s side, Alizé Cornet. I mean, she takes down the monsters and everybody man, Shapovalov.”

Aryna Sabalenka and Denis Shapovalov are two players who are set to play in the primary draw of the Indian Wells Masters. However, J. J. Wolf will not participate in the tournament because of a continuous list of injuries. Jordan Thompson is also not scheduled to play in the championship. Alizé Cornet, on the other hand, lost to Clervie Ngounoue in the first qualifying round.

Novak Djokovic set to end Indian Wells’ absence

The 2024 Indian Wells Masters will be one of the most exciting editions of the tournament in the last few years. At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the BNP Paribas Open was canceled due to the lack of information about the virus. It was held again in 2021 after the cancelation, but Novak Djokovic could not compete again as he did not take the vaccine, which meant he was not allowed in the country.

A similar situation would await him in 2022 and 2023 since he did not receive the vaccination once again. He has won the championship five times in his career and will finally return to the venue. His return excites the tennis world, and the former LMFAO actor will also be in the stands waiting for him to play.
