2023 marks one of the great years in Novak Djokovic‘s life as not only did his opponent Rune call him great but the world’s former number four, Brad Gilbert drops an amazing praise for the player. Gilbert, who also happens to be the coach of the famous Coco Gauff, seemed overwhelmingly happy about Djokovic’s performance in the Nitto ATP Finals 2023.

However, it is not the first time that commentator and coach Gilbert praised the world’s current number-one player. Previously, he surprised Djokovic’s fans by saying he hadn’t seen anybody play tennis better. However, after many years the expression hasn’t changed a bit! Djokovic earned another appreciation from this legendary former tennis player and coach.

Coach Brad Gilbert pens down praises for Djokovic’s brilliant performance

Coco Gauff’s coach and former tennis player Brad Gilbert is truly in awe of Dojovic’s performance and that is visible through his comments. Gilbert recently tweeted on his official X (formerly Twitter) profile that Novak Djokovic graced the 50th ATP tournament with an amazing performance, which also happened to be the player’s eighth attendance in the tournament. Further, he added- “at 36 years young i will put this as best year potentially on men’s tour in 50 years.” Receiving praise from a leading coach like Gilbert is not a mere thing! However, Djokovic’s performance was great enough to get so much appreciation from the viewers.

However, as mentioned previously Gilbert showed overwhelming love for Djokovic’s tennis talent. At the beginning of this year’s tennis season, Gilbert dropped high hopes for the world’s number-one player when he mentioned Djokovic is “getting better at 35.” This leading coach also commented saying- “I think that it’s definitely going to be Djoker vs everyone else this year,”
