Both on and off the court, tennis legend Roger Federer is one of the most influential human beings on the planet. On the court, his behavior is an example for many professional tennis players. Off the court, he has done many admirable charitable works.
In 2003, the Swiss player created a foundation to help all the underprivileged kids in South Africa and Switzerland. It has been a massive success for Federer. Recently, it even reached greater heights as the tennis star posted the annual report for his foundation in 2021.

Roger Federer feels happy to share the achievements of his foundation
On Instagram, Roger Federer posted a picture of his foundation. As the annual report of 2021 is finally out, the Swiss player could not contain his excitement and went on to explain the milestones. According to his official website, 68 million Swiss francs have been spent by his foundation at the end of 2021.
On Instagram, he wrote, “Despite a challenging year in 2021 with the pandemic, we at @rogerfederer.foundation are extremely happy about the milestones achieved. A huge thanks to everyone who supported us and continues to inspire me each and every day. Check out the annual report below: #educationempowers.”

In the statement, Roger also revealed that his numerous outfits, racquets, and shoes raised around 3.9 million Swiss francs last year. Also, the foundation received more than 10 million Swiss francs in donations for all the programs for the very first time in 2021.
Meanwhile, Federer’s foundation is currently active in seven countries; 9,358 educational institutions have improved in quality, 1,980,000 children have benefited from a better quality education.

Notably, Federer played an exhibition match against Rafael Nadal in South Africa in 2020 to raise money for his foundation. According to reports, they raised more than $3 million dollars.
Federer is eying for a return in 2022
After a bittersweet 2021, Federer is eyeing for a return on the tour, possibly to play the grass-court season. Last year, he went through knee surgery, which forced him out of the tennis court for the remainder of 2021 and the first part of 2022. However, he could make a sensational comeback at Wimbledon this year after losing in the quarter-finals last year to Hubert Hurkacz.

Currently, the Swiss player is recovering well as his fans are eagerly waiting for his return on the tour.
