Tennis fans all over the globe love Roger because of his playing style and remarkable records. But they also love him because of the way he treats his family and always makes sure to spend time with them, even during his busiest moments.

An interview with an American journalist from 2010, LZ Granderson, was recently posted on one of the fan pages. In the interview, Granderson revealed how when she had asked Roger about what he loved, his answer was Mirka, his beloved wife.

Granderson said that usually when she asks players such questions, they say they love movies, chocolates, cars, or winning. But Roger’s unique answer won her over and, of course, showed why he deserves the title of ‘Family Man’ over anything.

There are several incidents where Roger has shown how much he loves his wife and children and makes sure to bring them wherever he goes on tours.

Federer never left his family behind even on professional tours

The Swiss tennis legend has been often seen traveling with his wife Mirka and 3 kids wherever he goes. He mentioned in one of his interviews that even though he has to change the nappies of his kids between matches; it is worth it for him because he cannot think of leaving his wife and kids behind when he goes off on the tour.

Roger also makes sure to take his kids’ nanny and teacher wherever he goes on tour just so his kids can travel with him. He even said that he does not leave his bed without his wife Mirka. This truly shows what a legend Roger is on the court and, of course, off the court too!
