Novak Djokovic has become the talk of the tennis world lately because of the uncertainty in his participation at the Australian Open 2022. Recently, Djokovic also praised Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev for admitting their mistakes on and off the court.

The 20-time Grand Slam champion also talked about how there’s no such thing as perfection. However, when the Serb made these statements, people interpreted him to be taking a dig at rivals Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

Novak Djokovic feels perfection doesn’t exist

Novak Djokovic has had a scintillating year, grabbing three out of four Grand Slam titles and he also equaled the record for the most number of the Majors with 20 Slams. In a recent interview, Djokovic opened up about making mistakes on and off the court.

According to the Serb, perfection doesn’t exist. He paid respect to Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev for being genuine.

Djokovic said, “I don’t like people who pretend to be perfect on and off the court, perfection doesn’t exist. That’s why I love Medvedev and Zverev. They are authentic, they admit their mistakes and they do everything to make up for it. We have a great friendship.”

Fans react to Djokovic’s statement perceived to be about Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal

As soon as Djokovic made those statements, fans reacted furiously on Twitter. They believed Djokovic was targeting Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

One comment read, “Nasty digs at his rivals.” Everyone feels Novak Djokovic purposely made the statements for his rivals, i.e. Federer and Nadal, commonly known as Fedal.

However, some people did come out in support of Novak Djokovic, as they perceived the reactions of ‘Fedal’ fans to be blown out of proportion.
