World No.5 Stefanos Tsitsipas hasn’t had a great season in 2021 so far. Even though he reached the semis of the Australian Open and Rotterdam Open 2021, he failed to finish on the winning side. Recently, he lost to Hubert Hurkacz in the quarters of the Miami Open 2021 despite winning the first set.
In a recent interview, Stefanos Tsitsipas was asked if he wanted to add a new member to his coaching staff. Interestingly, the Greek player answered that he would love to have tennis legend, Gustavo Kuerten, in his team.
“I keep in touch with Gustavo Kuerten, he has helped me a lot. I trust him, I feel we have things in common,” said Tsitsipas in the interview.

Tsitsipas revealed that the 3-time French Open champion Kuerten has helped him to grow as a player. He also mentioned that he has a lot of things in common with the former World No.1 player and he trusts him as well.

The World No.5 player reflected that it is really important that he talks with Kuerten about this thing. He believes that the former Brazilian player can really help him a lot.
“I wish I could have him with me, but it is important for my career that we talk, that he can help me,” added the 22-year-old.

It is not the first time when Tsitsipas has expressed his desire to have Kuerten in his team. However, Kuerten declined Tsitsipas’s coaching offer when he approached him the last time.
Stefanos Tsitsipas will begin his clay-court campaign soon at the Monte Carlo Masters 2021. He’ll like to play some attacking tennis there and lift some titles. Will Tsitsipas be able to succeed at the upcoming French Open 2021?
