Nick Kyrgios wins hearts as he ambitiously pushes to popularize tennis in Australia

The Australian player reached his first Grand Slam title last year at Wimbledon. Kyrgios ambitiously put up a fight against Novak Djokovic but unfortunately lost against him. However, his successful 2022 swing has made him the biggest Australian player at the moment.

Adding to his popularity, Kyrgios is now on the venture to launch Amaroo Tennis Centre in the ACT (Australian Capital Territory). He announced through Facebook, “I am so excited to see this come to life. For every $10,000 raised, I will personally donate $1,000 to make this facility everything is needs to be!”

The tennis center is aimed to be launched in the Gungahlin region, the first in the area. The targeted region is the developing northern suburbs of Gungahlin, whose population is estimated to be around 100,000. Moreover, the facility will be open to common people and the infrastructure will make it possible for professional matches to take place.
