Thiem’s minor setback will affect his ATP singles ranking
It has been so long since Dominic Thiem appeared in a tournament and these minor setback are disrupting his momentum. Even though the injuries aren’t threatening, his ranking will take a hit owing to the long absence on the ATP tour.
The South-American clay-court swing includes tournaments at Cordoba, Buenos Aires, Rio, and Chile. Since Thiem performs well on clay, this would have been a great opportunity for the Austrian to bounce back and find some rhythm ahead of big tournaments.
