Former World No.1 Roger Federer recently shocked his fans after announcing that he will not be able to feature at the Australian Open 2022. The Swiss Maestro is currently recovering from his knee injury and, in such a situation, he won’t be able to make it up till the first Grand Slam of the upcoming season.

Roger Federer last played at the Wimbledon Championships 2021, where he managed to reach the quarter-finals. However, Hubert Hurkacz, who considers Federer as his idol, defeated him there in straight sets and knocked him out of the major.
