Carlos Alcaraz has had a meteoric rise this year. At just 19, the Spaniard has dominated the big names in tennis and achieved a rare feat earlier this year, defeating Nadal and Djokovic in subsequent rounds of the Madrid Open. Unsurprisingly, many fellow players have spoken highly about Alcaraz.

The 19-year-old is in Paris where he is aiming to win his maiden Grand Slam title. Yesterday, he dig deep to win his second-round match against Albert Ramos-Vinolas. His next-round opponent will be Sebastian Korda, who praised the Spaniard on his impressive season.

Sebastian Korda on Carlos Alcaraz doing special things
The American tennis star defeated Richard Gasquet of France in straight sets to set up a clash with Alcaraz in the third round of the French Open 2022. Talking about the Spaniard, Korda said, “He deserves all the attention he is getting. Is doing things that nobody had been done in the last 20 years or so.”
Korda, the only player to beat Alcaraz on clay in 2022, is very excited to play him again and hopes the match is on Chatrier.

Korda avenged his ATP Next-Gen Finals loss against Alcaraz last year to defeat him at the Monte Carlo Masters. He became the only player to defeat Alcaraz on clay this season as the Spaniard has gone on to win the Barcelona Open and the Madrid Open titles.

Alcaraz survives scare at the French Open 2022
Yesterday, the 19-year-old Spaniard scripted a brilliant come-from-behind victory to prevail over Albert Ramos-Vinolas in the second round. In a match lasting over 4 and a half hours, Alcaraz came back from two sets to one down to defeat his compatriot 6-1, 6-7 (7), 5-7, 7-6 (2), 6-4.
