The Court Suzanne-Lenglen has been host to some of the most spectacular showdowns at the French Open. Now once again, the tennis community will get to witness another high-octane matchup on the iconic court as the 9th-seeded Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas will take on the in-form Matteo Arnaldi in the fourth round.

Tsitsipas will once again grace the clay courts this season after his triumphant and runner-up runs in Monte Carlo and Barcelona. Arnaldi, on the other hand, has reached the fourth round in Paris after pulling off some major upsets against two top-seed participants.

Following a quarterfinal finish in Rome, the Greek tennis star is entering the clay Grand Slam event as the 9th seed. The Monte Carlo Masters champion then clinched another brilliant victory against his Chinese opponent, Zhang Zhizhen, in the third round.

Matteo Arnaldi, on the other hand, is coming to the tournament as an unseeded participant, and he stunned 29-seeded French Arthur Fils in the opening round. He later pulled off another major upset against the 6th seed, Andrey Rublev, in the third round of the Roland Garros.

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Matteo Arnaldi: Head-to-Head

The fourth-round clash between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Matteo Arnaldi at this season’s Roland Garros will also mark their first meeting on the men’s tour. With no prior encounters between Tsitsipas and Arnaldi, their H2H record is currently locked at 0-0.

Prediction: Stefanos Tsitsipas to come out on top in this R4 in Paris

The Greek player had a remarkable 83% winning percentage on his first serves during his third-round victory against Zhizhen. Tsitsipas also hit four aces and zero double faults, and he also converted 5 out of 6 breakpoints in the R3. If he manages to find the same rhythm in the fourth round, the former number 3 player can prevail in a challenging contest against his in-form Italian opponent.

Matteo Arnaldi, on the other hand, has also performed brilliantly on the Parisian clay, as he stunned two top seeds. However, Tsitsipas’ vast experience and aggressive serves on clay courts will make it difficult for the Italian player to clinch points and hit returns. Arnaldi also had a poor conversion rate on break points, as he only managed to convert 5 out of 13 in his recent match in Paris.

Hence, Tsitsipas prevailed in a four-set, challenging contest against Arnaldi.
