Bowers remained hopeful about the Spaniard’s rise, suggesting, “He may well come up; he may well win Roland Garros this year.” Along with that, he also admitted to the lack of participation in the ongoing season, indicating that he “doesn’t seem to have played too much” lately.
Calculating the reason behind his unexpected dip, Bowers speculated that this could be due to the player’s rapid rise to the top, suggesting that he “got to the top artificially early.”
Despite the challenges, the optimism that famous entities are showing for Carlos Alcaraz makes him an outstanding name, even at such a young age.
Daniil Medvedev reflects the optimism for Alcaraz
It isn’t just Bowers who sees a great future on the line for Carlos Alcaraz. Medvedev stated, “He’s still 20 years old, very young, so it’s normal that sometimes in his career he’s going to have some ups and downs,” adding a sense of normalcy to the defeats.
