Spanish tennis legend Rafael Nadal is having a wonderful 2022 season, winning two of the three Grand Slam titles on offer so far. The 36-year-old suffered an unfortunate injury that forced him to withdraw midway from the recently concluded Wimbledon Championships. However, the Spaniard is going to return on time before the US Open. For now, he is taking a break from the game and is relaxing at his home in Mallorca.

Interestingly, the American golf legend Tiger Woods is also present in Mallorca. From what it looks like, there’s a good chance that the two legends might meet, especially when considering Nadal’s fondness for playing golf.

Tiger Woods in Mallorca

Golf Legend Tiger woods and his son Charlie are present at Mallorca. The two played golf at Son Quint. Woods is taking a break from the professional golf tour after his underwhelming time at The Open. While Nadal is also present at the same place, it will be interesting to see if two legends plan a meetup.

Nadal is one of the biggest admirers of Woods. He had also wished Woods a speedy recovery after the accident.

“When I heard the news, I was really concerned. Good to know you are doing OK. Get well soon my friend!!!!!” he wrote.

Rafael Nadal to play in the Canadian Open

Rafael Nadal was in scintillating form in the Wimbledon Championships 2022. The Spaniard won a hard-fought quarterfinal against Taylor Fritz. However, he suffered an abdominal tear in the match and pulled out before his semifinal clash against Nick Kyrgios. Nadal was expected to be fit in four weeks. Notably, the Spaniard has made hotel reservations for the Canadian Open, which shows that he will kick-start his hard-court campaign in Canada.

Later, the 22-time Grand Slam champion will vie for the US Open title. The 36-year-old has already won the Australian Open and French Open this year.
