The World Number 19 has been in supreme form recently. At the Australian Open warm-up tournament, the Adelaide International 1 event, he defeated Karen Khachanov of Russia in straight sets to clinch the title. The top seed played some breath-taking rallies against the hard-hitting Russian to add a title to his kitty. He looked in fine touch as he rallied past four players to clinch the title without dropping a set.

The French tennis star, who is married to fellow tennis player Elina Svitolina, could not proceed beyond the first round of last year’s Australian Open. Emil Ruusuvuori of Finland staged an upset to defeat the athletic Frenchmen in that tournament.
