

Two of the best tennis players of all time, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, will come face to face in the much-awaited quarterfinal of the ongoing French Open 2022. From the release of the draws, fans were expecting the two giants to clash in the semifinals. Although Djokovic had a smooth ride on his way to the quarterfinals, the Spaniard fought hard to reach the same.

Before the most awaited match, Goran Ivanisevic, Djokovic’s coach ,spoke about his pupil’s chances against the 21 times Grand Slam winner.
Goran Ivanisevic believes Djokovic is ready for the big match
Speaking before the big game the coach of Novak Djokovic is fully confident of his pupil’s success. Talking about the preparation from his end, the 50 years old said that he has watched all the current matches played between Nadal and Djokovic.
“I watched the match from last year, then ten times from the year before last, so I will watch it tonight, and tomorrow. On Sunday, I watched almost the entire match against Felix.” He said.

He further said that the 21 times Grand Slam winner is the crowd favorite in French Open. And it will only add to the benefit of the Serb. As the entire crowd will be against him and that will motivate him to do well.
“I am glad that 80% of the crowd will cheer against Novak. He’s got a reason to get angry and to fight even more.” He added. Further speaking about the chances of his pupil. Ivanisevic said that he is fully confident and believes in his victory. As the plans have fallen really well in the place. Also, he claimed that the Serb is in the best form.

“Of course, we believe in the victory. Novak is playing well. He is at the peak of his form. Everything coincided exactly as it should have been after Monte Carlo. You can’t ask for more than this. Now the only question is how he will go out on the field and how they will play.” He concluded.

Novak Djokovic vs Rafael Nadal head to head
Looking at their head-to-head record. Djokovic and Nadal came face to face on 58 occasions in their 16-year-old rivalry. Djokovic leads the tally with 30-28.
