World No.4 Stefanos Tsitsipas enjoyed a tough victory in his very first match against Philipp Kohlschreiber. He looked quite uncomfortable during the entire match but somehow managed to win it in three sets. The final scoreline of the match was 6-3, 3-6, 6-3.
Set-1: Stefanos Tsitsipas gets off to a great start
Stefanos Tsitsipas began the set on a high as he comfortably won the first game. However, Kohlschreiber equalized the scoreline in the very next game at 1-1.

It was Tsitsipas who eventually broke first in the fourth game and was now leading 3-1. His German opponent tried really hard but couldn’t find to beat the in-form Tsitsipas. After this, the one who served continued to win till the 8th game when the scoreline became 5-3 in Tsitsipas’ favor.

Set-2: Philipp Kohlschreiber makes a good comeback
It was Kohlschreiber who took the early lead this time as he won the first game. However, the Greek player didn’t allow him to break in the subsequent game and managed to equalize the scoreline at 1-1.

It was going well till the seventh game but after that something astonishing took place. The German broke on his third break-point and was now leading 5-3.
Serving for the set, he capitalized on his second set-point and thus, won the second set 6-3.
Set-3: Stefanos Tsitsipas seals the decider
Kohlschreiber stunned almost everyone as he broke in the very first set. He went on to win the subsequent game and established a 2-0 lead over Tsitsipas.

However, the Greek player played some of his best tennis and didn’t choke under pressure. As a result, he equalized the scoreline at 2-2 at the end of the fourth game. He even won the next game and was now leading 3-2. However, the German won four consecutive points in the next game to level the scoreline once again.
It was Tsitsipas who broke once again in the 8th game and was now just one game away from advancing to the second round of the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Serving for the set, he didn’t take much time, conquered the game 6-3, and thus, won the match.
