Kyrgios further stated that he wants to be remembered as the “Dennis Rodman of the sport.” The Wimbledon finalist went on to say that he was inspired by the American basketball legend.
Kyrgios said, “When I first think of Rodman, I think of someone that is completely comfortable in his own skin, who played the game he wanted and didn’t really care what others thought.”
The Australian star also revealed that he was unconcerned about his criticisms just like the Chicago Bulls legend. He added that his game is also not affected by constant rebuttals he faces during the tournaments. Kyrgios went on to say, “He’s had some pretty good misso’s [Australian slang term for girlfriends or Mrs] as well.”

Despite his critics and backlashes during tennis tournaments, Kyrgios has been performing brilliantly. He also reached his first Grand Slam final at Wimbledon where he faced the former world No. 1, Novak Djokovic.

Kyrgios once showcased his basketball skills
Apart from his tennis skills on the court, Kyrgios also likes to play basketball as he is very good at the sport. Nick was once spotted at a global partnership event with the NBA. Kyrgios donned a stunning mid-green jumper designed by Nike. He was also donning a pair of retro basketball shoes, Nike Air Jordan.

The former American basketball player, Corey Williams was also there at the global partnership event. Williams was amazed to see Kyrgios playing basketball with some great skills. The Australian tennis star was also spotted playing basketball at a Celebrity game in Sydney. Kyrgios represented Team Fordham during the game.
