French professional tennis player Benoit Paire often finds himself at the center of all controversies. He recently spat on the court following his defeat at the Argentina Open 2021 and surprisingly, celebrated this loss at the Miami Open 2021. Because of this behavior, the French Tennis Federation has even decided to put sanctions on him.

In a recent interview, World No.4 Dominic Thiem slammed Benoit Paire for his on-court antics. He opined that if Paire is not interested in playing the sport, he should better stay at his home. He also advised the French player to take some rest or go on a vacation if nothing is motivating him to play tennis right now.

After this, Benoit Paire decided to hit back at the US Open 2020 winner and tweeted that he had to work to go on a vacation. However, he also wrote that he is happy to see him back on the court.
“Dominic Thiem, I had to work to take some holidays. Happy to see you back on tour,” wrote Paire on Twitter.

He clearly took a jibe at Thiem and claimed that unlike him, he does some work before going on a holiday.

Even though Paire tried to take a dig at Thiem, he also wrote that he didn’t have any sort of problems with what Thiem said. Clearly, he tweeted this along with the earlier line to clear the air. The Frenchman also wrote that everyone can act and think differently.

“I don’t have any problems with what you said, everybody can think and act differently,” added Paire in the tweet.

There is definitely a spark between Paire and Thiem at the moment, which can turn into the fire any time soon. After Paire’s response, fans are eagerly waiting for a reaction from the Austrian player.
