‘Half Die Literally’ – Taylor Fritz’s Acapulco Exit Turns Into a Blessing in Disguise for ‘Absolutely Snatched’ Girlfriend Morgan Riddle

Italy’s Matteo Arnaldi stunned America’s number one, Taylor Fritz, by defeating him in the first round of the Mexican Open. It took the Italian almost 2 hours 35 minutes to seal the deal at the Princess Mundo Imperial Resort in Acapulco on Tuesday. However, his loss turned into a blessing in disguise for his girlfriend, Morgan Riddle.

Riddle felt sick after landing in Mexico. Her boyfriend, who had just returned after playing a match, was seen taking care of her. However, this isn’t the first time the couple has been facing difficulties in Acapulco. It happened last time as well. But that time, it was Taylor Fritz who fell sick after playing a marathon match in the same tournament.

Italy’s Matteo Arnaldi defeated Taylor Fritz by 6-4,4-6,6-3 to secure his second-round faceoff against another American tennis star, Ben Shelton on Wednesday. But more than the defeat, Taylor Fritz’s sick girlfriend has yet again managed to steal the limelight. Morgan Riddle shared a few stories on her Instagram account describing her difficult times in Mexico. She wrote, “Idk why I continue to come to Mexico when I half die literally every time.” Taylor Fritz was seen in the clip, standing beside her and monitoring her health.

In the next slide, she was seen blaming the food for her sickness. While in the third one, Riddle looked a bit relieved as she stated, “When you were in the bathroom the entire time you were in Mexico. But about to come back to LA, absolutely snatched.

A couple of years back, the couple visited a restaurant in Paris during the French Open and got food poisoning after having salmon and bagels. But, last time in Acapulco it was worse for the American tennis star.

She stated that Taylor Fritz almost ended up going to the hospital following his Mexican Open SF match against his compatriot, Tommy Paul. Frtiz lost the match by 3-6,7-6(2),6-7(2) and that match lasted for almost 3 hours and 25 minutes, making it the longest-ever match in the tournament’s history.

This intense battle on the court later on proved to be a bit costly to Fritz. He was seen suffering from cramping and at one point even vomited on the court. Riddle later took to social media and revealed that they were up until 4 am with the tournament doctors.

She went on to elaborate that Fritz couldn’t keep any food down. He was suffering from severe dehydration along with full-body cramping & chills. Morgan Riddle further added, “He is too stubborn to default and pushed himself too hard & these high humidity tournaments are no joke.
