Although, even the two of them know that they are also in the twilight of their careers. In a recent interview, while discussing Roger Federer’s emotional farewell, Djokovic explained how he wishes his farewell to be like. Here’s what he said.
Djokovic’s ideal retirement dream
Tennis fans have gone through two very emotional moments this year. The first one was when American tennis legend Serena Williams retired. Later, Swiss maestro Roger Federer also had a very emotional farewell, which had almost everyone in tears. Speaking about the ideal way he would like to say goodbye, Novak Djokovic said, “It did kind of appear in my mind how I would like to say goodbye. I didn’t want to give too much attention to that because I am not ready.”
He further added, “but one thing is for sure. I would love to have the greatest rivals that I had in particular Roger, Rafa, and Andy there. Whatever happens, and whenever it happens, I would love to have them there, that is one of the biggest wishes.”
