Cahill mentioned how the Miami Open 2024 victory brought a lot of belief at the moment for Jannik Sinner. Cahill also spoke about how in the last twelve months, Sinner has transitioned into a mature ATP star.  Sinner’ coach said- “I think doing what he did in Turin, in Italy, getting through to the final, backing it up and winning Davis Cup with his team for Italy was a huge moment for him. He was able to carry that belief through to the Australian Open.”

However, the tennis fraternity was truly surprised when Darren Cahill revealed an exciting truth about Jannik Sinner’s on-court personality. Cahill commented- “Now when he steps onto any court in the world against any player in the world, he respects everybody, but he fears no one. That’s really important is that when you step out there, you’re ready to give it your best.”

Sinner and Cahill’s collaboration brought a healthy and optimistic rise in the former’s professional tennis career. This Italian tennis prodigy felt equally charmed by Cahill’s experience and mentorship. Last year, when Sinner defeated Monfils in the quarterfinals of the National Bank Open in  Toronto, Darren Cahill showered him with his support. Sinner spoke about it and acknowledged Cahill’s mentorship.

He said– “The relationship is going very well. Obviously, one of the best coaches in the world. You know, he has showed that with all different kind of players, mans and womens, different age of the player.  And it’s, obviously, nice to have him with my team. I feel like the combination with him and Simone is going very well.”
