21-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal had an outstanding start in 2022. Currently, the Spanish is on a 15 match winning streak and is yet to lose a single match this year. Already, Rafa had three titles to his name in 2022, including the Australian Open title.
It’s also a fact that Rafa is also one of the most recognizable tennis stars in the world, along with Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and others. Many young players look up to the Spanish star as their idol. Often, people can get star-struck as they get to meet their hero or idol. Interestingly, the same thing happened to a Bolivian tennis player, as he shared his experience meeting Rafael Nadal.

Rafa will start his journey at the BNP Paribas Open on 13th March. He will get a bye in the first round, like most top seeds. However, he could potentially face young American star Sebastian Korda in the second round.
Meanwhile, the new World no.1 Daniil Medvedev will also start his campaign on 13th March, despite all the controversies surrounding Russia and Russian athletes. If all goes well, we could see another Nadal vs Medvedev clash in the semi-final at the Indian Wells.
