Jimmy Connors, the eight-time Grand Slam champion, is making it big even after retiring from tennis. In his podcast, “Advantage Connors”, Jimmy gives his fans a sneak peek into the world of professional tennis and its most intimate moments. Moments that fans would not have access to, players that they wouldn’t really get to know if not for these interesting conversations. Recently, Connors invited Bjorn Borg to his podcast and, needless to say, the two had a great time. One of the topics that came up during the show was McEnroe’s recent reaction on a picture of Borg and Connors.

Borg retells the funny story of John McEnroe’s funny reaction upon seeing a picture of his friend Borg and his long-standing rival Jimmy Connors on Instagram. Earlier, Borg said, while posting the picture, someone had predicted McEnroe reacting in this way. As he remembers McEnroe walking right into the trap, he calls it a “funny day” mimicking McEnroe’s response.

The picture was clicked at Indian Wells, where the two tennis legends met. Upon meeting they clicked an amazing picture where they agree they look great. In no time, Borg’s wife Patricia posted the picture on Instagram. While posting, she said that maybe McEnroe might have something to say. And what happened after that is a better story in Borg’s words than we can ever tell!

Telling Jimmy about the picture, he says, “That was a great picture. You took a picture of you and me. We look great! And my wife Patricia, she put it on Instagram. It was good. People were going, ‘wow, Jimmy and everything.’ And Patricia is saying like – ‘John McEnroe is gonna call and give his input regarding our picture’. Two hours later John called me – what a funny day!”

He pretends to mimic John’s voice as he says, “What the hell you doing with Jimmy Connors?”

Borg asks McEnroe to relax and tells him, “Listen Jimmy is a good friend maybe he is not as good a friend to you as he is to me.” Jimmy chips in as he comments, “OMG he was like a jilted lover”.
