Their friendship is still going strong, and Agassi even acts as a mentor to his son, Sebastian Korda. The young American player recently revealed some interesting details about the former number 1.

Sebastian has maintained a good relationship with Agassi. Moreover, he paid his tributes to Agassi and his father as he walked up to face Hubert Hurkacz in the Australian Open. On the player’s walk, he tapped both his father’s and Agassi’s names in order to show his respect for helping him reach such a stage. Recently, Korda shared a different kind of tribute for his mentor.

The 23-year-old American player is gearing up to play in the Citi Open. For his preparation, he is receiving proper guidance from his father as well as his mentor. Getting advice on how the sport should be played, Korda shares a great bond with the eight-time grand slam champion. Recently, he revealed the demeanor of Agassi behind the scenes. 

“I’m sure Andre played night games every day and my father played first at one, when it was very hot. And I think Andre took my father in the final,” he joked. “He sees life differently than others. He is a very positive and outgoing person, he has a huge heart.”

Korda further continued his praise for Agassi as he said, “He would do anything for the people around him. He is a great human being. His way of seeing tennis is very different. Think of different things than others. Think about what you can do to get a bigger lead in tennis“.
