The 21-year-old Canadian surely had the Russian backed into a corner, as he won the first two sets. Nevertheless, Medvedev never lost hope and won the final three sets to secure his place in the semi-final.

All said and done, young Felix Auger-Aliassime chalked up the match as a learning experience. Moreover, he is proud of what he achieved in the Rod Laver Arena today.
