Following his remarkable run at Indian Wells, Hubert Hurkacz has entered the quarter-finals of the event. On his road to the quarters, the Polish has gone through players like Frances Tiafoe and Aslan Karatsev. For a position in the semi-finals, he’ll be playing against Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria.
In the post-match interview, Hubert Hurkacz talked about his relationship with his coach Craig Boynton. Hurkacz began working with Boynton in 2019 at Indian Wells. Since then, the pair have enjoyed a remarkable run together. Under the tutelage of Boynton, the Pole has achieved four ATP singles titles and two ATP doubles titles.

The duo is sharing an amazing collaboration as the 24-year-old has enjoyed his best form with Boynton. The American Boynton has previously worked with the former World No. 1 Jim Courier, John Isner, Steve Johnson, and Jack Sock.
After defeating the Russian, Aslan Karatsev in the round of 16, Hubert Hurkacz has cruised in the competition’s final 8. In the post-match interview with the tennis channel, he revealed his relationship with his coach.

Steve Weissman mentioned that the ongoing Indian Wells was his first tournament with Boynton. Hubert responded, “I really enjoy it, that was the first tournament with CB, with my current coach. We started off quite well, the quarter-finals. From then on it has been a pleasure to work with him.”

He added, “He’s a great coach, great person and he’s helping me a lot, my tennis game and my mindset on the court. How it is supposed to improve, to act. So I’ve been enjoying this place a lot.”

Hurkacz to face Grigor Dimitrov in the quarter-finals of Indian Wells

After defeating Frances Tiafoe in the round of 32 and Aslan Karatsev in the round of 16, Hurkacz has found his place in the quarter-finals at Indian Wells. So far, the Polish has registered all the matches in straight-set victories. His next challenge is World No. 28, Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria.
Dimitrov shocked the tennis world as he surpassed the number one seed and US Open 2021 champion, Daniil Medvedev. Despite trailing by one set, Dimitrov gathered the momentum to thrash Medvedev in an enthralling three-set encounter.
