America’s rising star of tennis Ben Shelton received a complicated remark from a tennis podcaster. Previously, Shelton’s controversial celebratory dialed-in pose brought a lot of angry remarks from the fans. They admitted that the fraternity didn’t like it much. Now once again Ben Shelton fell under the radar of criticisms.

This American tennis star attracted the limelight after his epic performance at the 2023 US Open. Shelton was facing off against Dan Evans in the ongoing ATP Acapulco tournament. However, the majority of the tennis fraternity still termed him immature.

In his recent tweet on his official X (formerly Twitter), tennis podcaster Craig Shapiro said- “Ben Shelton looks at his box too much like a helpless little puppydog. Shows so much immaturity and weakness to the opponent.” Shapiro’s statement pointed out Shelton’s immature behavior in front of the opponent during his match. Sheltonsome how escaped Dan Evans at the ATP Acapulco’s opening round. His initial performance made his fans anxious with cruel comments from the fraternity.

Shelton also accepted his challenging phase during the match. He said- “Definitely a really tricky matchup for me, Dan a guy that I know well. We have a lot banter in the locker room. A guy [whose] game presents a lot of challenges. To come out of this first match in Acapulco with a win after losing the first set is a big accomplishment for me.”

However, this is not the first time Shelton received such cruel remarks from the fans. His celebratory gesture received quite a huge backlash from his fans.

From wearing glasses to his physical attitude, Shelton fell under severe criticism from the fans. Fans called him arrogant and some believed that he was drunk while attending the press conference. In a nutshell, the whole tennis fraternity concluded to the point where Ben Shelton was declared kiddish and highly disrespectful.

Craig Shapiro’s remark against Shelton represented that the fraternity still thinks of him as a teenager. Shelton surely needs to take care of his expressions in front of the media and improvise his tennis skills.
