John McEnroe once mocked Rafael Nadal fans
Chris Fowler and John McEnroe were the announcers during that Wimbledon match. They noticed some Nadal fans wearing yellow t-shirts with “VAMOS N-A-D-A-L” printed on them. While one of them was wearing a t-shirt with the Spanish word “VAMOS” printed on it. However, despite their efforts to pay tribute, they were mocked by McEnroe as one of the letters was missing from the Spaniard’s name “N-A-D-A-L.” It was just “N-A-D-L” as one of them, who was supposed to wear the letter “A”, never showed up.

As a result, they became a target of the commentators’ mockery. Fowler stated, “We sent of camera over there, they told us that Mr. A — Mr. Second A — missing.” He stated that the cameras were pointing towards them, indicating the letter “A” was missing.
