Andy Murray, world no. 85 has got back with his former coach, Ivan Lendl, for the third time. They have had a break-off twice before. The player is preparing for a comeback to prove his diligence once again. Andy Murray had defeated Novak Djokovic in the 2013 Wimbledon finals to clinch the home title.

Andy Murray’s career

The British player rose to prominence after winning three grand slam titles when the ‘Big 3’ were playing. He is known for his first serves and backhand strokes. Murray started off by winning the US Open. Afterward, he ended Britain’s drought of bringing the Wimbledon home in 2013 after 77 years. He won it once again in 2016. The player suffered from a hip injury; because of which he could not deliver his best.

Reunion of Andy Murray and Ivan Lendl

Ivan Lendl is an eight-time grand slam winner. He had led the Scot to three grand slam titles as well as world no. 1 rank. The player had separated from his coach twice in his career. Murray recently announced a collaboration with him once again.

Serena Williams’ coach Patrick Mouratoglou expressed his shock over it because they had already parted ways twice in the past.

The coach, however, complimented Andy and said, “He’s always been inspiring, winning three Grand Slams at a time when those three guys are playing–Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic–it’s incredible!”

Andy Murray’s sturdy devotion

The coach regarded his resilience and stated that he has shown his allegiance to the sport. Murray wants to put his best foot forwards and nothing else, according to him. He said, “I don’t feel like Andy’s goal is to win a Grand Slam but to do the best he can.” Patrick showed faith in him and praised his attitude of getting back up again, hinting that he can do better in the future. The coach stated, “I can completely imagine him reaching a quarters or a semis of a Grand Slam. And if he does, then everything is possible.”
