Danish tennis star Holger Rune recently received a supportive gesture extended by Serena Williams’ ex-coach. As Boris Becker unexpectedly parted ways from the young Dane, the position of his mentor still remains vacant. In a tweet in which Rune was directly tagged, Serena Williams’ ex-coach expressed willingness to offer guidance as she wrote, “@holgerrune2003 I have some time up my sleeve.”

After less than five months of coaching, Becker pulled off from his position, having already achieved the initial goal of helping Rune make it to the 2023 Nitto ATP Finals. Although there were many more unchecked boxes of achievements that the fans created for the duo, the separation marked a cancellation for all of them.

Soon after the incident, Rennae Stubbs made a post on X, mentioning how the act was irrelevant. “Disgraceful… I mean it’s normal when you argue or carry on when you’re in Italy playing an Italian, we have all been there. But this is disgraceful behavior. @holgerrune2003 doesn’t deserve that,” she mentioned. As the tennis coach has now come forward to him directly, it still remains to be seen if they join hands to work together.
