Unlike the entertainment industry, tennis is different when it comes to second-generation stars. There are hardly any players who have carried on the legacy of their parents. A major reason behind that is that players like Fabio Fognini, Andre Agassi, and Steffi Graf are of the opinion that their kids are better off without the sport. The fans of the two tennis stars were dumbfounded when they rejoiced over the fact that their kids are not into tennis.

The star couple of Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf has been married for over 20 years and their athletic genes are a blessing for their kids. But the parents are more than happy to know that they have not gone into tennis.

Similarly, in a recent interview with L’Ultimo Uomo, world no. 97 confessed similar thoughts for his son’s future. The nine-time ATP tour winner in the single category is 35 years old at the moment. Consequently, there is not a long tennis career ahead of him. So when posed a question about his son becoming a tennis player, he stated, “I hope my son doesn’t play tennis.” Furthermore, he added, “Because I know what I did, the sacrifices my dad made… not that I’m not willing to make them for my children.
