The influential role of Carlos Alcaraz’s grandfather in his tennis ascent

Defeating Novak Djokovic to win a Wimbledon and create a name for himself in the tennis world, Alcaraz has come a long way and has a long way before he leaves things behind. Although he is doing great at the age of 20, do you know that tennis has been something that has been in his family for generations?

His father, Carlos Alcaraz González, was also a professional tennis player, and it wouldn’t be wrong to say that he was born with tennis in his blood. According to the New York Times, his father was a nationally-ranked tennis player in Spain as a teenager. While the 20-year-old tennis player’s career got started, his father stopped playing professionally when he couldn’t afford to continue both.

It took three generations for their family to make a breakthrough in the sport, but it all started with his grandfather’s involvement in tennis, which led to the career that made the whole family proud.
