The American tennis star, Taylor Fritz likes to spend most of his time practicing and working hard on the tennis court to maintain his best levels. But just like every other people, the world No. 7 player has his own guilty pleasures including his interest in playing video games in his idle time. His legion of fans, though, is not impressed with those off-court activities.

Speaking about it, Fritz recently revealed how he thinks practicing more than six hours can be unhealthy. Consequently, he has to face a lot of criticism from fans for keeping up with his gaming endeavors. Here’s what the American ATP star has to say about balancing his professional and personal life.

Taylor Fritz talks about his interest in playing video games

The world No. 7 player was recently featured in a talk show, ‘Golf & Gaming Club – GGC,’ in which he talked about his off-court endeavors including golfing and video games. Taylor Fritz also opened up about how passionate he is when it comes to playing online games, particularly, Fortnite. Apart from being a striking figure on the tennis court, Fritz has claimed to be the “best gamer” in sports.

Notably, he also participated in a number of duo Fortnite events with friends owing to his enthrallment with gaming. Later, the American tennis star was asked whether he has to face criticism and backlash on social media for keeping up with such endeavors. Unsurprisingly, his answer was in the affirmative as he dealt with a lot of naysayers telling him to get back to practice considering he is a professional athlete who likes to play video games.

Fritz said, “Oh, that so common, man. So that’s doing anything that’s not tennis. And I’m like, these people are so there’s like, How stupid are you like I’m supposed to be playing tennis 24 hours a day or what?”

He also said that he thinks training for more than six hours a day can be really unhealthy.

The ATP star further expressed his annoyance over the same by saying, ” I think when I like go like sream or something. Oh, shut up practicing like, dude, like, I just practice like eight hours today like I’m sorry. You think I’m supposed to like live on the court.”

Fritz was also asked about his other social media activities, particularly, trolling his critics. He answered by saying that he likes to fire back at all such naysayers on social media. Apart from this, the American uses his online platform to ‘send memes’ to his compatriots and fellow tennis players including Tommy Paul.
