Both the players have met each other three times before, on all surfaces. Djokovic has prevailed each time. Their last bout caused some drama as the Djoker was not happy with Norrie.

Djokovic and Norrie Italian Open drama

The two players faced each other in the Italian Open, and Djokovic won a dominant match. However, the two didn’t have a drama-free match. During a point, Djokovic gave an easy lob when he was at the net and knew the point was over as Norrie could hit it anywhere. However, the ball hit Djokovic’s feet, and Norrie put his hands up to apologize, but the Djoker was already angry.

After the match, he didn’t shake hands properly. He also said that the smash was forgivable, but the acts of Norrie during the rest of the match annoyed him greatly. He accused Norrie of poor sportsmanship, and the Briton hit back by saying Djokovic was creating a fuss over nothing.

The two worked their differences out later and are now on good terms. With their Davis Cup bout inching closer, one can expect another great match between the two.
