Since Hurricane Otis devastated Acapulco in October, destroying several lives, the city has been in urgent need of assistance.

Tistsipas’ decision to donate $1000 for every ace that he would win during the Mexican Open showcased his great philanthropic gesture towards the people of South Mexico. Tsitsipas’ astounding play on the court, mixed with his compassionate gestures, has created a high level of hope for the people of Acapulco.

Stefanos Tsitsipas will donate $15,000 to Acapulco
Tsitsipas used his tennis skills for a worthy cause as the world-renowned Greek player took to his X to announce his donation to help the city’s reconstruction. “I will be donating $1000 for every ace I hit this week in Acapulco,” he pledged.

Tsitsipas’ contribution to the noble cause has helped him reach new heights in every ATP match. In a post-match interview, he said, “Yes, I am very motivated. I want to get a lot of money for the people of Acapulco, I want to feed a lot of people, I want to provide to a lot of people,”
“This is my mission with it. Of course, part of my mission is to play good tennis and then focus on the court to get the best outcome and result as a tennis player. But I think there’s a also stronger reason and a stronger sort of mission that comes behind it, which is to do good through tennis.”, he further added, explaining the reason behind his philanthropic gesture.
