Rising star Denis Shapovalov hasn’t had a great season in 2021 so far. He recently got eliminated in the pre-quarters of the Barcelona Open 2021 and hasn’t enjoyed much success in the previous tournaments as well. However, he is a promising player and can cause quite a few upsets in the upcoming tournaments on clay.

In a recent video, ATP superstars described Denis Shapovalov in one word. Players chose different adjectives and words to explain the Canadian’s gameplay, and some even gave reasoning in support of their answer.
World No.2 Rafael Nadal said, “Power” when asked to describe Shapovalov. Shapovalov’s compatriot Milos Raonic came up with a really thoughtful word and went on to explain his answer.

“A 156 kilometers an hour forehand. Fierce,” mentioned Raonic.
It was World No.6 Alexander Zverev who came up with the most accurate answer. He stated that Shapovalov was ‘energetic’, and rightly so. Even after playing for 3-4 hours, the former World No.10 doesn’t tire. He has the ability to run and cover the court quickly, which creates a lot of problems for most of his opponents.

Stefanos Tsitsipas, Grigor Dimitrov, and Felix Auger-Aliassime also describe Denis Shapovalov
Interestingly, it was the Monte Carlo Masters 2021 winner Stefanos Tsitsipas, who stole this show with his priceless response. He said Shapovalov is ‘hyped’ for him. It was certainly a sort of jibe that he took on the 22-year-old but in a harmless manner.
