An American sitcom that has been viewed repeatedly over the years. FRIENDS serves as a shelter of comedy, even today. Regardless of the situation, sitcom fans can always count on the series for comfort at any point in life. However, the stars share an enormous fan base even today. 

Even tennis legend Andre Agassi’s ex-wife was a part of the famous American series. In the episode named the one after the Superbowl, Part one. The character of Joey Tribbiani gets a stalker fan, and the role is played by Brooke Shields in that very episode. However, it was a very big moment for the young actresses but something didn’t feel right to the former tennis player, and he wrote an instance about this part in his book.

Andre Agassi was worried about his ex-wife

When both the known personalities were dating each other, they were thriving to rhea the top of their respective careers. Brooke Shields was working non-stop on her Hollywood projects and the tennis ace was clinching back-to-back tournament titles. 

In his autobiography, Open, the American tennis star wrote about the time when his then-girlfriend got a role in the famous sitcom. He wrote, “Now she’s landed a plum, a small guest spot in an episode of the sitcom Friends.”

He added, “The producers of Friends have asked Brooke to play a stalker. I cringe, thinking of the nightmare she’s endured with stalkers and overly enthusiastic fans. But Brooke thinks her experience with so many stalkers will be good preparation for this part. She says she understands the stalker mindset. Plus, Andre, it’s Friends. The number one show on TV.”

Further, he talked about the consequences that might harm the Hollywood actress in getting ready for the role. However, the tennis star’s then-girlfriend successfully played the role of a stalker. 

Agassi was not happy with Brooke Shields on camera

In his book, he continually talked about the scene in which the Hollywood actress shared a kiss with Joey Tribbiani. According to the former world number one, this time it was different. However, he understood that it was a part of her work, but it felt weird and he stormed out of the studio.

However, the two got married in 1997 but got divorced after spending two years being married. Later, the tennis legend found love again in Steffi Graf, who has won 22 Grand Slam titles throughout her tennis career.
