Taylor Fritz gave a reply to the comment after the announcement of Nadal withdrawing from the semi-finals of the Wimbledon 2022. It stated, “Nadal out. Should have let you go forward.” To this, the American player replied, “Nah not looking for handouts, if I couldn’t beat him then I don’t deserve to be in semis… simple as that.”

Now, at the grass-court major, both the players faced each other again in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon. Taylor Fritz pushed Nadal to this limit in a five-set match however, could not take the Spaniard down.
