Taylor Fritz proudly denies a possibility of a handout
Taylor Fritz gave a reply to the comment after the announcement of Nadal withdrawing from the semi-finals of the Wimbledon 2022. It stated, “Nadal out. Should have let you go forward.” To this, the American player replied, “Nah not looking for handouts, if I couldn’t beat him then I don’t deserve to be in semis… simple as that.”

Rafael Nadal and Taylor Fritz faced each other in the finals of the Indian Wells Masters. The American player defeated Nadal and won the title. Now, at the grass-court major, both the players faced each other again in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon. Taylor Fritz pushed Nadal to this limit in a five-set match however, could not take the Spaniard down.

Due to this injury, he will not be able to be part of the semi-finals. This has made Nick Kyrgios the finalist for the Wimbledon Championships. The other finalist will be decided after the semi-final match between Novak Djokovic and Cameron Norrie. Djokovic is aiming to get his 21st grand slam title.
