Novak Djokovic shares different dynamics with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. The Big Three are united by their love for tennis as much as their rivalry and respect for one another. Even though they were opponents on the tennis court, they developed a special kinship and developed a strong connection over the years. But since last year, a lot of things have changed.

While Federer retired from the sport, the Spaniard has been struggling to make a comeback and share a court with Djokovic. Recently, after winning the 24th Grand Slam title, the 36-year-old Serbian tennis star made an emotional statement about the whole sporting arena, including himself, missing his other big companions.

Just a few days after winning the 2023 US Open title, Djokovic is ready to play in Serbia’s Davis Cup Finals tie against Spain. And recently, the 24-time Grand Slam champion was asked by the Spanish press at the Davis Cup whether he misses his big two companions, Federer and Nadal, on the tennis tour. To which the Serbian tennis player gave a witty response, addressing both the legend’s absence from the tennis arena. He said, “I don’t know if I miss them 😂. But I’m sure tennis misses them. These two are legends of our sport. They left a very great legacy both in tennis & in sports in general…”

Although he joked about how he might not be the one who is actually missing them, In reality, the whole sport is missing both of the tennis legends, as both of them have given a lot to the sport. Nevertheless, it won’t be wrong to say that what the world’s top-ranked tennis player shared is actually a tennis player’s feeling while watching some big tennis tournaments when all three of them used to participate together.
