Carlos Alcaraz Got One Step Closer to the Title
Carlos came out victorious in the fierce match against Stefanos in the fourth round of Miami by7-5, 6-3. Thereby securing a position in the last four for this season. Further, while speaking to the press, Carlos said, “It was a very tough match, but it was amazing to play in front of this crowd. It was quite amazing to get so much support. Having the option to beat Stefanos in front of a crowd like that made it even more spectacular. It was a lot of fun.
He also addressed how hard the game became after the exhausting first set by saying, “It took a lot of energy to come back from the first set, All I can say is that I fought until the last ball to turn the first set around”.
“I know it wasn’t the main pitch of the tournament, but it’s still a great stadium anyway. It was full of people. Really, it has been incredible, competing in front of a grandstand like this, totally incredible.” He added.

Since Indian Wells Carlos is portraying his best form. While in Indian Wells, the Spaniard defeated Monfils in the round of 16 who made up to that level by defeating world no.1 Medvedev. Adding to that, he gave quite a hard time to the legendary Rafael Nadal in the semifinals. Thereby earning recognition from one of the current big three. Although he failed to reach to finals, he for sure brought back some great learnings. Now in Miami, he applies every tactic that he learned in Indian Wells. And has taken down a player who has been ranked as high as world no.3 in singles by ATP.
