Frances Tiafoe has had an eventful life. Born in Maryland to a janitor and a nurse, Tiafoe didn’t grow up with much. However, he had the opportunity to learn tennis for free. He and his brother, Franklin, took advantage of that opportunity and started learning tennis. A young Tiafoe aimed to reach the stars and reach the stars he did. In the 2022 US Open, Tiafoe defeated the ‘King of Clay’ Rafael Nadal. At that moment, he felt that his entire country was with him.

But he still held his head up high as he had triumphed over Rafael Nadal on his way to the semifinal. The world number 15 defeated the Spaniard in 4 sets. As per the Houston Chronicle, Tiafoe called it a great day. He even felt that he had the entire country was with him.

Tiafoe never wants to play with Rafael Nadal again

His day came with full glory as he faced Nadal down in four sets. He further said that it was time to tell his future kids and grandkids that he beat Nadal. He ended his statement by saying that he hopes to never face him again.

Tiafoe has performed great so far. He realized tennis was his destiny when he was young and grabbed every opportunity that came his way. Now, the American will be looking to move forward and compete in more finals.
