Lacoste’s ‘iconic’ crocodile perfectly embodies Novak Djokovic‘s on-court attitude. The 24-time Grand Slam champion has a lengthy history with the company, but Jelena, his wife, is the one who takes the greatest joy in it. Recently, the world’s number one ranked tennis player’s wife expressed her joy at being spotted wearing the Serb’s jacket.

While Djokovic achieved a first-round victory against Pierre-Hugues Herbert, at the French Open, it was his wife, Jelena, who was present in the stands, who grabbed all the attention. Apparently, she was seen wearing her husband’s Lacoste jacket. Following that, she also took to her Instagram account to share her take on how she got the jacket.

She wrote in an Instagram story, “I got my jacket!! Although I didn’t really know the answer to all the trick questions, @lacoste made for @Nolefam but I know a guy.” In that post, while the fan talked about how she might have gotten her own jacket, Jelena denied the thought of receiving her own but, at the same time, laughed out that she knew someone who is quite connected with the French clothing company.

Novak Djokovic represents the brand globally on a bigger platform, wearing the crocodile in all his historic moments. The Serbian athlete has been supported by the Crocodile since 2017, which has provided him with elegant clothing for his athletic career.

With a collaboration that is scheduled to last until 2025, the Serb’s on-court outfits are made especially for him, guaranteeing a distinct style and maximum mobility. Nearly a month ago, when the world’s number one took part in the latest marketing endeavor, Jelena couldn’t resist praising her husband’s appearance.

When the French company shared the pictures of the Serb’s posing with the crocodile, she commented, and wrote, “You’re so beautiful.” However, for the 24-time Grand Slam champion, the crocodile reminds him of the tennis player who founded this company!

Novak Djokovic’s take on representing Lacoste

Venus Williams and Djokovic were pictured a few days ago in the “Play Big” campaign pictures, where they posed with a dramatic 26-foot activation of the brand’s iconic symbol made of tennis materials. During the photo shoot, Djokovic reclined nonchalantly against the sculpture’s wide maw while Williams, dressed in sneakers matching the color of the crocodile’s tongue, playfully dove into its open mouth.

He stated, “When I see a crocodile, it reminds me of René Lacoste, what he represents for our sport, what he represents for fashion. But it also reminds me of the fierce predator animal in the wild, and when I’m on the court, I have to turn into this almost predator-like mentality.”

Nevertheless, what are your thoughts on the Serb’s and Lacoste’s deal? Do let us know in the comment section below.
