Bidding farewell to the tennis legend Roger Federer was a difficult moment for his fans all around the world. One such fan shared a story of an encounter with the Swiss Maestro, who is known for his chivalry all around the world. At that time, the fan’s daughters had refused to take a picture with Roger Federer and the following gesture of the Swiss Maestro melted the hearts of his fans.

At Laver Cup, the player and his fans were all sobbing and reminisced about the glorious career that he had formed for himself.
Roger Federer- A true gentleman through and through
Everybody is well aware of the caring and compassionate nature of the tennis legend. In his 24 years of a glorious career in tennis, the Swiss player has always been a gentleman. A fan, Suman Ghosh, shared a heart-warming anecdote he encountered with the player on Facebook.

Four years back, a fan had visited a restaurant, and he saw Roger Federer there. He wanted his daughters, at that point 5 and 3 years old, to get a picture with him. However, his younger daughter showed reluctance towards that idea.

The fan narrated, “Noticing the awkwardness of the moment Federer came up to her, sat down to her level and asked- Would you mind if I want to take a photo with you? Maya looked at him and said – NO.” The fan could not hide his embarrassment, but Federer made his day by saying, “You know, I just loved it.” Eventually, he ended up getting a picture with the player.
The most difficult goodbyes
This year has been tough on the tennis fraternity. 23-time grand slam champion, Serena Williams, retired after 27 years. The player played her last tour at the US Open. She had won her first grand slam title at the US Open in 1999.
