

The Spanish tennis legend, Rafael Nadal, usually entertains the audience with his powerful and incredible displays on the tennis court. However, on a recent occasion, the tennis community was amused when the 22-time singles Grand Slam champion cracked a hilarious ‘dad joke’.
Nadal was featured in a press conference ahead of the mixed-doubles tennis tournament, the United Cup. Meanwhile, the 36-year-old tennis player also talked about how he needs to organize his schedule after the birth of his first child.

Rafael Nadal in a humorous mood ahead of the United Cup
Some of the best players from the ATP tour are geared up for the mixed-gender tennis tournament in Sydney. Rafael Nadal is also among the participants at the upcoming exciting event. Notably, he was spotted cracking a ‘dad joke’ during an interview while talking about his prior performances. The 22-time singles Grand Slam champion talked about his performances after becoming a father.
Nadal participated in the Paris Masters and also at the ATP Finals after the birth of his first child. However, he faced defeat in the first round of the Paris Masters and was knocked out of the tournament. After that, the Spaniard was also knocked out of the ATP Finals group stage despite a victory in one of the matches.

Nadal said, “Well, the first event I play like a father without the baby with me, I lost first round. Second event, traveling with the baby, I was out of the group stage (laughter). At the end I won my last match, but I need to keep improving, no? Easy.”
The 36-year-old was further asked about his sleeping schedule after taking up the parental duties for his first child. Nadal answered by saying, “I am sleeping well, yeah”
The Spanish tennis star also said that he just needs to re-organize his schedule a little after becoming a father.

Nadal expressed his enthusiasm for the event in Australia
During the United Cup press conference, Nadal expressed his enthusiasm for the mixed-gender team event in Sydney. The Spanish tennis star went on to say that he was excited to be in Australia again and added that he was looking forward to enjoying the tournament with his compatriots.
Other Spanish tennis players like Paula Badosa, David Vega Hernandez, Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, and Nuria Parrizas Diaz, are also participating alongside Nadal. The 22-time singles Grand Slam champion said that they are focused on the event.
