Sergei Salnikov, a soviet footballer who won the USSR World Cup in 1958, found honor among social media again recently as grandson Tsitsipas posted a tweet to honor the legend.

While the 25-year-old shared a video montage of the timeless memory, he also couldn’t stop himself from expressing gratitude towards the icon. He wrote, “Honoring the timeless legacy of Sergei Salnikov. His footprints on the pitch tell a story of grit, glory, and the beautiful game itself.”
