Andre Agassi has often spoken highly about the responsibilities of fatherhood and how he has parented differently from his father. Recalling those moments of his fatherhood and seeing his kids grow up, Agassi said, “I’m proud not because it’s some certain stage. But because they’re lost in what they do.

Reminiscing his love for Jaden and Jaz Agassi, he added, “I mean what a joy to be able to watch somebody you care so much about feel that way right? I’d put on a heart monitor and it really, the only thing that would move it would be the love of feeling for them. The 53-year-old American tennis legend had once revealed that “Fatherhood is everything.” He highlighted the responsibilities attached to it saying as their children get older, the decisions get a bit more ‘precarious‘. And the worries get a little lesser but more ‘intense‘. He doesn’t want his children to face the same situation that he faced as a child while growing up.

What is the most prized possession of Agassi?

During an interview, Andre Agassi once revealed that the necklace which was made by his son, Jaden, is the most prized possession in his life.

I have a necklace my son made for me. It’s a beaded necklace with these letters. When he was four, he asked me to help him. [He said] ‘I want to make this, I want to write, ‘Daddy rocks.’ I’ve never taken it off but it broke and it’s getting [fixed],” said Agassi.

But have you ever wondered why wouldn’t have the couple who has won 30 Grand Slam titles altogether didn’t push their children to take up the sport? Well, to this Agassi said that they had enough of the “weird sport”. He added that their kids had in fact seen “behind the curtains and they know the demons that are involved” in it. Agassi revealed they’re quite thankful that their children weren’t interested in the racket sport.
