Andy Murray must have slept very late yesterday. Murray and Thanasi Kokkinakis played an extremely entertaining and competitive tennis match that lasted close to six hours. Unlike the French Open and Wimbledon, Australian Open and the US Open go late into the night.

While it’s a different kind of entertainment, Murray is not happy with it. Speaking about the reason behind it, Murray told reporters during the post-match press conference, reported by Tennis Majors, “If my child was a ball kid for a tournament, they’re coming home at 5 am. As a parent, I’m snapping at that. It’s not beneficial for them. It’s not beneficial for the umpires, the officials. I don’t think it’s amazing for the fans. It’s not good for the players.”
