Alcaraz then brushed aside his unseeded opponent, Fábián Marozsán, in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, in the round of 16.

Alexander Zverev, on the other hand, is coming to the Indian Wells Masters after a lackluster campaign defeat at the Mexican Open. The German tennis star started his campaign by defeating Christopher O’Connell and Tallon Griekspoor in his first two games. In the round of 16, Zverev overcame the 10th-seeded Aussie Alex de Minaur in a three-set game, 5-7, 6-2, 6-3.

The quarterfinal match between Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev at the BNP Paribas Open will also mark their ninth meeting on the ATP tour.
