Rafael Nadal put on yet another audacious display at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. The Spaniard brushed aside the challenge of Nick Kyrgios in the quarterfinals to continue his winning streak this season. However, Kyrgios didn’t go down before putting up a great fight in what was a thoroughly entertaining match.

Further, the crowd was right behind the players and made their emotions felt at every point won and lost. The match could have gone either way in the deciding set. However, Nadal showed once again why he is amongst the best in the business as he entered the semifinals. There were some special guests in attendance to witness some thrilling tennis action.

The American actor and boxing superstar marked their presence during Nadal’s quarterfinal win over Kyrgios. The two enjoyed a thoroughly entertaining game of tennis. Further, Nadal took to Instagram and posted a story involving the two on his official Instagram handle. Expressing gratitude, Nadal said, “Great having you today with us and thanks for coming!”

Ben Stiller happens to be a huge Rafael Nadal fan. Recently, he had caught up with the Spaniard and Diego Schwartzman at the tournament. Recalling their first meeting, Stiller said, “I got to know him a little bit about I don’t know, seven or eight years ago. He was at the tournament and we ran into his people and got introduced, so we sought of stayed in touch and he invited me a few years back to see an exhibition match at Madison Square Garden, which was really exciting.”

During the exhibition match at the Madison Square Garden, Stiller teamed up with Nadal to play against Juan Martin del Potro and an eight-year-old girl. He further revealed the details of that match on the Jimmy Fallon show.

The American actor was fortunate to witness some exhilarating tennis action in Indian Wells. Aiming to win his fourth title of the season, Nadal will take on fellow countryman, Carlos Alcaraz, in the semifinals.
