Novak Djokovic has a habit of reminding the tennis world of his record-breaking victories on his heels. In Wimbledon last year, he wore a pair of sneakers that paid tribute to his historic 23rd Grand Slam title. Then, in 2024 AO, he stepped onto the court wearing his favorite shoe with a “24” number on it. With his constant partnership with ASICS, the Serbian has received specially customized sneakers for himself from ASICS.

Recently, Rene Zandenbergen (Senior Manager of Footwear and Innovation of ASICS) shared details on Novak Djokovic’s new sneaker for Indian Wells. It’s precisely designed for him, considering his stability and flexibility to be two of his biggest strengths in the game.

For years, ASICS had two types of tennis shoes(one each for common playing styles). Baseline (like Nadal‘s game style) and All-court (like Federer‘s). But a few years ago, the Serbian superstar teamed up with ASICS to create a tennis super shoe. He pioneered a third style- a ‘Best of Both Worlds’ approach. It allowed him to switch seamlessly from two playing styles and was named ‘Court FF3 Novak‘. But what is exactly ‘Court FF3 Novak‘?

Rene Zandenbergen says, “The Court FF3 is the only shoe which is developed together with Novak Djokovic for the best of both playing styles. We created a unique TWISTRUSS. This is for players who are after stability and flexibility for wherever you move on the court. This groundbreaking three-piece outsole will give you more control as soon as you hit the ground. It also gives you more flexibility in the forefoot to move faster on the court.” Novak Djokovic had earlier labeled it “one of the best on the market, if not the best.

During a conversation with Bastien Fachan, Djokovic heaped praise on ASICS, “At this point in my career, it’s essential that the shoes I choose to wear give me confidence on the court and suit my playing style. And that’s exactly what I get from ASICS. They understand me and are committed to improving even the smallest detail, which I value and respect.” But what made him switch to ASICS?

Djokovic went on adding “I could change direction quicker, and I could slide. Why change when you feel good?

Can these new sneakers help him land his 6th title at the Indian Wells this year? Well, the world’s number one tennis player hasn’t been a part of the Tennis Paradise tournament for almost 5 years.
